Join the Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy for a monthly breakfast series exploring the amazing, and often hidden, solidarity economy enterprises that are black-led, black-centered and putting people, ecology and justice before private profit.

Our featured speaker for June is the incredible Tanay Lynn Harris.

Tanay is a birthworker, scholar-organizer, ethnographer, and human rights practitioner whose work centers reproductive justice, abolition, and transnational movements for collective care. She is the co-founder of the Bloom Collective, a reproductive justice and perinatal wellness center in Greater Baltimore providing free to sliding-scale services rooted in community care and equity.

With over 18 years of experience in racial justice and human rights, Tanay has worked on landmark legal and advocacy efforts, shaping an abolitionist approach to policy, organizing, and care. She also currently serves as Community Impact and Strategy Lead with CLLCTIVLY, advancing strategies that resource and amplify Black-led change in Greater Baltimore.

Grounded in relationality, mutual aid, and political education, Tanay’s work is dedicated to building liberatory futures where communities are deeply seen, supported, and able to thrive.
