Red Emma's
Join us at Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse for a hands-on workshop exploring Chicory, Baltimore city’s longest-running community literary magazine, where Baltimore residents once shared unfiltered stories of everyday life.

Led by the Chicory Revitalization Project, participants will engage in blackout poetry, visual mapping, and other creative activities that connect past and present, uncover hidden histories and reimagine new visions of the city together.

Part of the Being Human Festival (US) (April 17–May 3), this event is one of 23 nationwide programs supported by the National Humanities Center, celebrating how the humanities help us better understand ourselves, each other, and the world we live in.
